The PNW Components Loam Pedals GEN 2 are flat pedals built for riders who bash their equipment, need reliable traction through wet roots and rock gardens, and want a pin system that is actually serviceable in the field. The CNC-machined body pairs with patented Tectonic traction pins that run vertically through the pedal body and are secured by outboard 2.5mm set screws, making individual pin replacement faster and simpler than any traditional threaded pin system. Twelve pins per pedal replaces the old 22-pin count without sacrificing grip, because the Tectonic geometry maximizes traction per contact point.
Custom textured contact patches provide additional grip between pin zones, and the platform shape and pin layout are optimized to support a wide range of foot placements without the rigid lock-in feel that fatigues your legs on longer rides. Stainless steel pins resist corrosion and hold their edge through season after season of trail abuse.
